Guau- a new Euskara audio platform

Are you looking for a way to practice more Euskara this summer?

Exposing our ears to Euskara is a great way to start noticing patterns and increasing our listening comprehension.

The good news? There is a new platform called “Guau” (short for “Gure Audioa” - “Our Audio”) that has great opportunities for this kind of listening!

On the website or app, you can find recordings of Basque radio shows, newscasts, audiobooks, and podcasts on a variety of topics, and audio narrative series… all for free! In addition to Euskara, you can also listen to similar programs in Spanish. 

Even if you don’t understand everything being said, listening and exposing yourself and your ears to these kinds of audio recordings in Euskara is a great way to passively or actively train your ears to help with comprehension, pick up on patterns, and improve your pronunciation of Euskara.
